TYRESE BOOTED from Radio Station for Talking About Liquor Stores near schools
According to TMZ … Tyrese claims he was WRONGLY kicked out of a radio station in Delaware yesterday — and it’s all because he TOOK A STAND against liquor stores that operate near elementary schools.
It all happened at WJKS KISS 101.7 in Delaware — when Tyrese, who was invited on the show to promote his album, made a PASSIONATE statement about how liquor stores SHOULD NOT be allowed near schools … after seeing one on his way to the station.
During his rant, Tyrese told the DJ, “Get them cats out of here … selling alcohol right across from your kids school, homie — put the pressure on them homie … you know how to put pressure on dudes selling in your hood.”
But when the show went to commercial, Tyrese was asked to leave the building — and the owner of the radio station confirms to TMZ that it was because he felt Tyrese was “disrespecting” the Delaware community.
After the incident, Tyrese tweeted, “I just kicked out of a radio station frm a [program director] who had a problem w/ me speaking on liquor stores that are by elementary schools in Delaware.”
He later added, “If you don’t STAND for something.. You will damn near fall for Anything.”
Styles P Speaks On Gays In Hip Hop "Be Cautious On Who You're Trying To Influence" [Video]
"I've been asked this question a lot lately... and I think so," Styles said. "My take on it as an adult male male is I don't care what you do, I'm comfortable in my situation. But sometimes it's uncomfortable as a father, certain situations. Just be cautious with it on who you're trying to influence and not influence. And that's not even being gay. That's in every part of life."
Demi Moore & Ashton Kutcher Reportedly Split Over Cheating Allegations
Ashton Kutcher's wandering eyes may have contributed to the end of his six-year marriage to Demi Moore.
According to the New York Post, Demi finally had enough after finding out Kutcher slept with a 23-year old jump off after a night of partying. This reportedly happened on the night of his sixth wedding anniversary to Moore.
“Ashton was a serial cheater, and Demi just couldn’t take it anymore. She didn’t deserve to live that way. It’s a painful time for Demi," a source said via RadarOnline. “It was definitely a long time coming, but they’re finally done for good."
Neither Demi, 48, or Ashton, 33, have commented publicly on these latest rumors.
Michael Jordan’s Endorsements Worth More Now Than At The Peak Of His Career
by Cynthia Wright
Say what you want about Michael Jordan, the man knows how to turn a profit. A recent Forbes article discussed that even after his retirement eight years ago, the Jordan brand is still a profitable franchise. According to the article, Jordan racked in approximately 60 million dollars last year – without touching a basketball.
Like most star athletes, Jordan had his pick of endorsements throughout his career and most, like Gatorade, Hanes, Upper Deck and Nike are as synonymous of Jordan as much as his red Chicago Bulls jersey. Jordan has also inked endorsement deals with 2K Sports and Five Star Fragrances; he also bought five restaurants and a car dealership in North Carolina.
However, Nike is still Jordan’s most profitable endorsement. Although, Jordan inked a $2.5 million contract with the company, straight out of college in 1984 – his endorsement checks are higher now since his brand has exploded. His annual revenues from Nike alone bring him an estimated $1 billion, with Jordan’s brand market share coming to a whooping 71%. Nike follows after with a share of 22%, with Adidas and Reebok owning the rest at 3% and 2%. Not to mention, Jordan has other well-known athletes under his brand umbrella, such as Derek Jeter, Dwyane Wade, Carmelo Anthony and Denny Hamlin also bring a considerable amount of traction insuring Jordan’s financial coiffures remain full.
During his tenure with the Bulls, he was banking about $50 million from his endorsement deals and during his last two years with the NBA dynasty, he made $63 million in combined salary.
Neilson and E-Poll Market Research produce an N-Score for celebrities that measure their awareness; general appeal and likeability, Jordan’s N-Score comes out to be 682. He is the highest scored athlete by nearly 300 points. His awareness is ranked at 71%; with the only athletes above him being Tiger Woods, Mike Tyson and OJ Simpson (easy to guess why). His rate of being liked by the public is charted at 93%, which shows how far his presence extends. Current b-baller LeBron James, whom many believed would follow in Jordan’s footsteps, has a likeability of 51% – nowhere near close.
Many attribute Jordan’s ability to be in the mind and heart of the consumer was his ability to stay negatively out of the headlines. Unlike his counterparts James and Kobe Bryant – while, they may be popular – their popularity has been somewhat tainted by their off-the-court extracurricular activities. Not that Jordan was a saint, there have been plenty of tales surrounding his gambling and philandering way but being that Jordan’s popularity was amassed before the era of social media. Did the lack of celebrity profiling help cement his legacy? Perhaps, one thing is for sure, Jordan’s business growth is undeniable and with his ownership of the Charlotte Bobcats, his stock will go nowhere but up.
'I thought it was my sister': Woman loses $2,000 to Facebook scam
By Bob Sullivan
Now, you can't even trust your sister on Facebook.
Edythe Schumacher logged onto the social networking site recently and a picture of her sister popped up immediately, inviting her into a Facebook chat. After a bit of small talk, Schumacher’s sister – Susan Palmer – egged her on to apply for a government grant, saying she’d just received one. For an up-front fee of $2,000, Schumacher was assured, she'd get access to up to $500,000.
Schumacher trusted her sister — and lost $2,000.
Apparently, Facebook impersonation scams have reached a new level of duplicity. Palmer's account had been hacked, Schumacher says, by an impersonator skilled enough to pretend to be her own flesh and blood. The fake Palmer eventually talked Schumacher into wiring $2,000 to an address in Massachusetts.
"Turns out I was not chatting at all with my sister," Schumacher told authorities, according to a report filed with the Ohio state attorney general’s office. "I would never have sent the money if I didn’t think it was my sister."
Facebook account hijacking has been around as long as Facebook itself. While it often amounts to little more than childish pranks, the theft of someone's identity on Facebook can lead to real harm. Imposters have successfully tricked victims into wiring money before — a common scam involves contacting friends and writing an email with dramatic claims of muggings, accompanied by desperate pleas to wire money.

'L-Word' star kisses girl, gets escorted off plane
A lesbian actress who starred in "The L-Word" said she kissed a girl — and got escorted off of a Southwest Airlines flight on Monday for doing it.
Leisha Hailey took to Twitter to call for a boycott of the carrier after a flight attendant told them other passengers had complained after witnessing the affection.
Her first tweet said: "I have been discriminated against." She later added, "Since when is showing affection to someone you love illegal?"
Southwest Airlines Co. responded on its website that Hailey was approached "based solely on behavior and not gender." The airline's four-sentence response said passengers were characterizing the behavior as excessive.
A discussion followed on the flight, and the airline said it "escalated to a level that was better resolved on the ground."
Hailey was a musician before joining the cast of the Showtime drama featuring the lives of lesbian friends and lovers living in Los Angeles. She played the character Alice Pieszecki.
The actress and her unidentified girlfriend were on a flight from Baltimore to St. Louis. The kissing occurred in the air and a discussion followed when the plane landed.
Hailey said the encounter between the couple and a flight attendant was recorded.
A message seeking comment from Halley's spokeswoman, Libby Coffey, was not immediately returned.
Southwest's website says it is the official airline of the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation.
Herndon Graddick, senior director of programs at GLAAD, said in an email that "GLAAD contacted Southwest to call for additional actions beyond tonight's statement that ensure all customers feel comfortable and welcomed while traveling."
Earlier this month, the Dallas-based airline kicked off Green Day's lead man Billie Joe Armstrong for wearing his pants too low. The Grammy winner was escorted off a plane after failing to follow a flight attendant's directive to pull the pants up.
Southwest also removed director Kevin Smith from a flight last year because he didn't fit properly in a single seat. His first tweet read, "Dear (at)SouthwestAir I know I'm fat, but was (the) captain (...) really justified in throwing me off a flight for which I was already seated?"
Halley is preparing to launch a 21-city tour to promote breast cancer awareness.

The NBA Cancels 43 Games In Preparation For Lockout
Say goodbye to the NBA season.
No, the whole season hasn’t been lost to us, yet. But it’s looking like that’s going to happen. The NBA has only had two meetings all offseason to try to rectify their issues, but it’s all been for naught. Since they didn’t reach their deadline to end negotiations, the NBA has been forced to cancel 43 preseason games.
“We have regretfully reached the point on the calendar where we are not able to open training camps on time and need to cancel the first week of preseason games,” NBA Deputy Commissioner Adam Silver said in a statement. “We will make further decisions as warranted.”
The season was supposed to start on November 1st and that looks like a long shot at this point. Better start thinking about taking your talents overseas, fellas.
KKK: White woman Refuses To Stop Flying Dixie Flag In Black Neighborhood
Leave it to one of the precious “Daughters of the Confederacy” to move into a historically black neighborhood (named Brownsville no less!) and fly the cotdamn Dixie flag.
A South Carolina woman has said she will continue to fly the Confederate flag outside her home, despite heavy opposition from the predominantly black neighborhood.
Annie Chambers Caddell has been criticized by neighbors who have protested outside her house and built a large wooden fence around her property in Summersville in an attempt to obstruct the flag.
But she said that she will not remove the flag because she is not a racist, but ‘loves her heritage’.
A year ago, dozens marched to protest the flying of the flag from her porch in the historically black Southern neighborhood.
After someone threw a rock at her porch, she put up a wooden lattice. That was just the start of the building.
Earlier this year, two solid eight-foot high wooden fences were built on either side of Ms Caddell’s modest brick house to shield the Southern banner from view.
Late this summer, Ms Caddell raised a flagpole higher than the fences to display the flag. Then a similar pole with an American flag was placed across the fence in the yard of neighbor Patterson James, who is black.
One hundred and fifty years after the Civil War began about 20 miles away in Charleston Harbor, fights continue over the meaning of the Confederate flag.
Some see it as a symbol of slavery and racism; others like Caddell say it’s part of their Southern heritage.
‘I’m here to stay. I didn’t back down and because I didn’t cower the neighbors say I’m the lady who loves her flag and loves her heritage,’ said the 51-year old who moved into the historically black Brownsville neighborhood in the summer of 2010. Her ancestors fought for the Confederacy.
Last October, about 70 people marched in the street and sang civil rights songs to protest the flag, while about 30 others stood in Caddell’s yard waving the Confederate flag.
Opponents of the flag earlier gathered 200 names on a protest petition and took their case to a town council meeting where Caddell tearfully testified that she’s not a racist.
Local officials have said she has the right to fly the flag, while her neighbors have the right to protest. And build fences.
Things seemed to quiet down and then the fences started,’ Ms Caddell said.
‘I didn’t know anything about it until they were putting down the postholes and threw it together in less than a day.’
Aaron Brown, the town councilman whose district includes Brownsville, said neighbors raised money for the fences.
‘The community met and talked about the situation,’ he said. ‘Somebody suggested that what we should do is just go ahead and put the fences up and that way somebody would have to stand directly in front of the house to see the flag and that would mediate the flag’s influence.’
Ms Caddell isn’t bothered by the fences and said they even seem to draw more attention to her house.
‘People driving by here because of the privacy fences, they tend to slow down,’ she said. ‘If the objective was to block my house from view, they didn’t succeed very well.’
The Confederate flag remains a sensitive issue in South Carolina.
The battle emblem of the Confederacy had flown on the dome of the Statehouse in Columbia since the Civil War centennial in the 1960s when state lawmakers voted in 2000 to move it to a Confederate monument in front of the building.
Ms Caddell, Mr Brown and Mr James all say things have been quiet in Brownsville in recent months.
‘She’s got a right to do what she wants to do,’ Mr James said. ‘That’s all I really have to say. She can do what she wants to do in her yard, but I don’t share her beliefs.’

Diddy Moving Towards Forbes 400 With An Estimated Net Worth Of $550 Million
Forbes has rolled out their Future 400 list, and Diddy makes the cut in a big way.
The Bad Boy Records CEO, is worth an estimated $550 million.
The notorious name-changer has taken to calling himself Ciroc Obama, and for good reason: Through his vodka deal with beverage giant Diageo, Diddy receives an annual cut of profits and a big chunk of cash if the Ciroc brand is ever sold. With the spirit’s value soaring toward $1 billion, and stakes in clothing lines Sean John and Enyce, marketing firm Blue Flame and record label Bad Boy, Diddy may beat buddy Jay-Z, featured on last year’s cover, to The Forbes 400. Net worth: $550 million.
Other notable names on the list include Interscope's Jimmy Iovine ($400 million), movie director/producer Michael Bay ($410 million), Dropbox CEO Drew Houston ($400 million) and Twitter creator Jack Dorsey ($650 million).

Nick Cannon’s Had Enough Of Crazy… Says Dem Babies Will Have Respectable Careers Instead Of Going Into Showbiz
Nick Cannon did a good job of belittling his and wife Mariah Carey’s careers recently by saying their kids will “absolutely not” be in showbusiness and that he’d like for them to strive for something “greater” than entertainment, like teaching or heart surgery, with science being the ideal.
Nick Cannon wants to keep the number of celebrities in his household to a minimum.
The America’s Got Talent host, 30, says he will “absolutely not” let his 4½-month-old twins, Moroccan and Monroe, follow in the famous footsteps of him and wife Mariah Carey.
“I just want them to strive for something greater than entertainment,” Cannon told PEOPLE backstage after Wednesday’s AGT’s season finale. “I’m one of those believers in teachers, professors, heart surgeons. That’s what I’m rooting for. If I could get a scientist, that’d be amazing.”
Even though fame isn’t the path Cannon wants his children to take, he says it’s the right road for him and Carey.
“My wife is so understanding because she’s just as busy and just as focused as I am, so it’s kind of like the perfect match,” he says. “I love my career and I love being in entertainment, so it never really feels like an occupation.”
Still, Hollywood isn’t top priority for Cannon. “Being a father and being a husband comes first,” he says.
“Everybody knows I’m obsessed with my wife,” he gushes. “I’m married to Mariah Carey. It doesn’t get better than that. I’d be an idiot to do anything wrong. I worship my wife. Have you seen my back? My back says ‘Mariah Forever.’ ”
Heart surgery over “Heart Breaker?” We can dig it.
Nick must be trying to spare Monroe the embarrassment of having a hot pants induced nervous breakdown live on MTV, or maybe keep Moroccan from chopping down the likes of C-Milli, Selita Ebanks and Kim Kardashian.
Can’t blame him for that. Way to go Dad!

Skinny Jeans Now This SMDH......Justin Bieber Wears Women’s Jeans
Justin Bieber wears what's comfortable -- it's as simple as that. The pop sensation rocked the red carpet at Dolce & Gabbana's Fashion's Night Out event in New York City, where he spoke about his own fashion choices, including women's jeans.
Bieber spoke to Life & Style magazine about his affinity for ladies' jeans. "I've worn women's jeans before because they fit me. It's not a trend; it's just, whatever works, works." Again, Justin says this isn't a trend, so if everybody starts wearing Not Your Daughter's Jeans, don't blame him.
Bieber was responding to a question about Kanye West's decision to wear a women's sweater. "It wasn't (so he'd) look like a woman in a sweater; it was just a regular sweater that happened to be a woman's."
An article from the Yahoo! Contributor Network points out that Justin and Kanye aren't the only male stars to wear women's duds. Actress Liv Tyler has caught her dad, Aerosmith rocker Steven Tyler, wearing her threads. Same deal with Zoe Kravitz of "X-Men: First Class" fame. Her papa, Lenny Kravitz, has been known to raid her closet.
Tyler Perry Is Hollywood's Cash King As He Tops Forbes Highest Paid List Earning $130 Million
Though the stars get the headlines, it's almost always the people behind the scenes who rake in the most cash in Hollywood. Case in point: According to the new Forbes magazine tally, the list of the highest-paid men in entertainment is led by actor/director/screenwriter/producer/author Tyler Perry, whose films have grossed more than $500 million worldwide.
He tops a list — measuring the entertainers' earnings from May 2010 to May 2011 — that also includes Steven Spielberg, Simon Cowell and one of the only actors on the list, Leonardo DiCaprio.
How did Perry make it to the top with $130 million over the past year? Thanks to fat checks from his TV shows, "Meet the Browns" and "House of Payne," as well as his hit series of movies based around his drag character Madea and his upcoming rare acting role as the titular detective in I, Alex Cross.
Just behind Perry is über-producer Jerry Bruckheimer at $113 million, which comes from his take for the $1 billion-grossing fourth installment of the "Pirates of the Caribbean" franchise, as well as his hand in producing a number of hit TV shows, including "The Amazing Race" and the "CSI" franchise.
Legendary director Steven Spielberg is third with $107 million, earned in part from his upcoming pair of big-budget films, "War Horse" and "The Adventures of Tintin."
Fourth is the only musician on the list, piano pounder Elton John ($100 million), whose riches come from his back catalog and a world tour that grossed $204 million.
"X Factor" judge/creator Simon Cowell is clearly not hurting since his departure from "American Idol," as he rounds out the top five with $90 million.
Also in the top 10: author James Patterson ($84 million), TV talker Dr. Phil McGraw ($80 million), DiCaprio ($77 million), satellite radio titan Howard Stern ($76 million) and disgraced golfer Tiger Woods ($75 million).

Commons New Book: One Day It’ll All Make Sense
In his new memoir, One Day It’ll All Make Sense, Chicago-born actor/rapper Common, gives readers a revealing, gripping, and raw look into his life and journey from boy to man.
In this deeply personal, introspective memoir, Common unveils himself, layer by layer, from his childhood on the streets of the South Side of Chicago; to grappling with the decision to leave college, disappointing his mother, and pursuing a career in hip hop; to emerging as a talented recording artist faced with all the trappings of fame and success but working hard to remain true to himself and the people who’d supported him along the way. “People who know me as Common might find it hard to believe some of the things that made me Rashid,” says Common. “That’s partly why I’ve written this book, so that I can show myself as a man in full. That means telling some tough truths, revealing my faults and vulnerabilities. But it also means showing the true strength of my character.”
Yesterday, Common kicked-off the launch of his book tour at Barnes & Noble in New York where he was interviewed by MTV’s resident VJ, Sway, before a crowd of over 300 fans.

Jay-Z Accused Of Forcing Residents Out of Luxury Building in Philly
Residents of a Philadelphia luxury building owned by international rap star Jay-Z claim that they are being harassed by the mogul's legal team, so that they will ultimately vacate the premises.
According to FoxNews, Jay-Z, born Shawn Corey Carter, is a co-owner of the company SCC North American Realty, LLC, which owns and operates a 24 unit condominium complex, which was purchased January of 2009.
Several tenants contacted FoxNews to complain about the treatment they have been receiving, claiming that they are being forced out of their apartments, with frivolous lawsuits, and other harassment tactics.
"The whole thing has been so unsettling,” a former tenant named Liza Tedeschi told FoxNews.com. "I’ve been in tears over this…They filed a lawsuit against me knowing that I had paid the rent. The lawyer admitted it to me, yet they still filed the lawsuit against me…It’s total and utter harassment."
Tedeschi told FoxNews that Jay-Z's real estate company even gave out the personal cell phone numbers of tenants to realtors to show off apartments that are not even up for sale.
According to residents, Jay-Z's ultimate goal is to evict all of the tenants from the property and it seems to be working - 15 tenants have left the building since May.
The tenants in the building became so angry that they called Pennsylvania Sen. Larry Farnese, who sent Jay-Z's lawyer a letter, on August 12th.
Sen. Farnese expressed concern over the treatment of the residents in the letter.
"He expressed his concern about what was happening in the building and asked that the management thoroughly investigate each complaint and handle each tenant on a case-by-case basis, and determine if eviction was appropriate, or if it was not," Senator Farnese's Communications Director, Kathie Abookire, revealed. "The latest that we heard is that Liza was issued a stay while the matter was investigated further. Our concern is for the tenant, that they're being treated properly, fairly and in accordance with the law. The owner of the building is immaterial. The fact that someone may be famous is not our concern."
